Well, not really. It’s more of a threat to make Manning talk and give them [US Army] more information. The Army added 22 new charges against Manning, one of them being “aiding the enemy”, which carries the death penalty.

The Army must show “intent to aid the enemy with certain arms, ammunition, supplies, money, or other things.” and show that he “indirectly or directly” aided the enemy.

Seeing the clusterfuck of world leaders Wikileaks and Manning (allegedly) pissed off, I can definitely see a firing squad in his future.

Regardless, I don’t think he’ll be going home any time soon and judging from the before and after photo’s the Army is not happy with this poor kid.
