Some truly upsetting news coming out of Iraq this week where groups “alternative” kids are been singled out for being “emo” and literally beaten and stoned TO DEATH. I’ve gone back and forth on my feelings of whether free, democratic countries should be meddling in other countries domestic policies, but when it comes down to bullshit like this, ya know, I strongly believe that it is up us to watch out and take a stand against these travesties to basic human rights. Reports have emerged that so-called “emo” teenagers are being methodically targeted and killed by religious radicals in Baghdad.

According to Al-Akhbar English, activists say at least 90 “emo” teenagers have been stoned to death in the last month following a statement from an Iraqi interior ministry that referred to the lifestyle as “devil worshiping.”

The things that happen to people who are seen as “different” or “immoral” are horrendous all across the world and this is just another fucking instance of total blatant disregard to simple human rights. It’s disgusting.

This is especially upsetting when this insane violence is coming from a country we were pouring BILLIONS upon BILLIONS of our money into their economy. Aren’t there like 50 thousand “Peace keeper’s” still FUCKING STATIONED THERE? Jesus Christ!
