Many people around the country are participating in ‘Spirit Day’, a day to remember the youth we’ve lost…We would like to announce that Hivster.com will be hosting a Seattle fundraiser for The Trevor Project.

Even on a day of remembrance, i sit here reading more bad news for those of us fighting to help LGBTQ youth in crisis, Corey Jackson, hung himself at Oakland University, in Rochester, Michigan.

He was 19.

This is why Hivster.com is currently working with the Trevor Project, the leading national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention for LGBTQ youth.

The event will be on October 27th from 7-9:30pm at The Rosebud (Harvard and Pike on Capitol Hill). There is a $10 suggested donation but strongly encouraged, at the door as well as happy hour food and beverage prices all night and a featured cocktail special with a percent of those proceeds going to the Trevor Project. All proceeds from the door and any additional donations will go directly to the Trevor Project.
