We talk about the need to improve awareness of HIV/AIDS and the harm it causes, despite the major advances in survival and quality of life for people living with the disease in recent years. Also talk about opportunities to advocate for people with HIV/AIDS, including supporting a resolution in Congress that would make discrimination against people with HIV or AIDS illegal. Currently, many states have laws that allow them to press charges against people with HIV or AIDS if they have physical contact with someone on the grounds that it endangers people who don’t have HIV or AIDS.
